    MAY 2010

Finally we hve some substantial rain up here which is such a welcome relief. I know that a lot of the country has not had the best of summers but this area has had a particularly long hot dry time.

Winter is always such an exciting time if you like to cook; soups, casseroles, tagines and comforting pudings can all be enjoyed over the colder months. A  good time to bring out the cast iron stovetop cook pots.

An exciting new range for us is the Wilton Icing products. I took two of my staff on a two day course to learn about the product and not only did we have a great weekend away we also came home armed with knowledge and new ideas. While it is not yet loaded on the site we do have most of the products in store.

Next month a demonstrtion kitchen is being installed in store and Foodie Fridays begin in August, when every Friday there will be demonstartions and tastings taking place from 11am to 2pm. We will be publishing a programme monthly. Evening classes will also begin again and as numbers will be very limited booking erly is recommended.

    cheers
